Designing For Profound Activity
2006, MSc. degree thesis
This master thesis proposes a novel UX of digital camera. It focuses on helping users gradually understand how digital cameras work and how they control the camera settings to take specific pictures. Unlike the traditional approaches, it neither requires technical knowledge or fully automates digital photography. Instead, it visualizes relevant data of photographic process (e.g. amount of light, aperture, Depth of Field) over the actual photographic preview. It allows users to take pictures as they like by directly controlling some of them.
